Connecticut Corsair exhibited in the Connecticut Building at the Big E!

With annual attendance exceeding One Million, Connecticut Corsair exhibits at the Big E, the fifth largest fair in the United States.

Many visitors learned for the first time, that the F4U Corsair was designated Connecticut's Official State Aircraft because it is the only military aircraft to EVER be built in one state, by one company.

By restoring a Connecticut-built F4U-4 Corsair in its home state, Connecticut Corsair demonstrates how today's advances in computer technology are adapted to rebuild an airplane of the past.  Programs for elementary students to University Interns provide student opportunities to work on a real live project while learning from and working with industry partners in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.
